Thank you for taking the time to get to know a little about me and seeing if we are a good fit for your healing journey! I was born and raised here in El Paso, Texas and I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Master’s of Science in Mental Health Counseling from The University of Texas at El Paso, a C.A.C.R.E.P. accredited university. My passion for helping others started at a young age and has continued as I work with clients of all ages.

 

I believe that mental health is so important and vital for living a happy life.  However, I also understand that therapy can be a scary and uncomfortable journey to begin. I strive to create a safe environment where clients will feel comfortable enough to share their stressors as well as their accomplishments in life. I utilize a person-centered approach with clients because I believe that each person knows themselves best and have the potential to succeed. I incorporate mindfulness and expressive therapies such as play therapy and sand tray therapy. Additionally, I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) with supplemental training for children and adolescents, an evidence-based trauma therapy technique.
