STUDENT INTERN

SUPERVISED BY: LYDIA KASMOCH, LPC-S, REGISTERED PLAY THERAPIST-SUPERVISOR

Hello & Welcome!

I am a student intern working toward becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from New Mexico State University. I am in the final year of my Master's Program in Mental Health Counseling at the University of Texas of El Paso, accredited by C.A.C.R.E.P.

My passion lies in guiding clients toward self-awareness and understanding their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Person-Centered approaches. Alongside my internship, I am engaged in academic research centered on child-parent-based play therapy. I have also undergone training in sand and art interventions.

My journey into counseling began during my time as a preschool and kindergarten teacher, where I witnessed the emotional needs of both children and families within the dynamic system. While I cherished my time working with children, I am highly motivated to expand my experiences with clients of all ages and best support their desire to heal and grow in their unique life stages.

Outside of counseling, I enjoy dancing at a studio, strength training, and participating in boxing classes! I am confident in my ability to learn and grow from each client and experience. Thank you for considering me as a valuable support on your journey.
