Hello & Welcome!

Thank you for taking the time to get to know a little more about me as you embark on your
journey for a better you!   I am currently pursuing a Master of Arts in clinical mental health counseling at Our Lady of the Lake University. I received a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and minor in criminal justice at the University of Texas at El Paso.
 

Growing up, I always had a passion for helping individuals and assisting them with the challenges of everyday life. Because of this, I found helping those in need find solutions to their problems extremely rewarding and fulfilling. Knowing I am able to provide encouragement and potentially make a difference in the lives of others – particularly individuals in the El Paso community – has inspired and motivated me to become a mental health counselor as well as a strong advocate on the issues surrounding this highly sensitive subject.
 

As a counselor-in-training, my previous work placements have helped me utilize the necessary
requirements all counselors must have: patience, communication skills, and an understanding of
all issues. I believe my past and current experience here at Thrive Counseling & Wellness will
assist me in applying the knowledge and skills I have acquired and will continue to gain in the
future in order to provide you with strategies as well as the opportunity to make your voice heard
in and out of the counseling room.
 

The unknown, talking to strangers, showing vulnerability, and examining painful experiences, behaviors, or memories are all things that tend to scare us – and it just so happens that, for some
people, these factors describe what it’s like to start therapy. However, if you are considering attending therapy, you have already made the first step in overcoming these uncomfortable
emotions.

If you are ready to start your journey to a better you and believe we would be a good fit, I would
